greener grocery shoppingJul 02, 2010 These bags are great for going grocery shopping. The size is perfect. I always buy lots of apples, maybe 7-8 at a time. This bag can hold that many and more! The material is durable, soft, and washable. :) It's an easy and cheap way to be even greener!

Just what I was looking for.Dec 28, 2009 These bags have been durable, easily washed, and serve the purpose that I bought them for and more. I plan on buying another set to accommodate the amount of vegetables I buy at one time and also for bagging chicken to keep it separate from the other groceries.

still testing it out... but so far... okayNov 20, 2009 I'm still optimistic so giving this a 4. I've used the bags for carrots and celery with success. Tried putting our lettuce into a bag, and the lettuce wilted within a day or two... however, only today did I read the instructions to see that the bag should be dampened in order to ensure freshness. I now have dampened the bag and placed a heap of fresh basil in there and hoping it lives up to the expectations (and doesn't wilk $10 worth of fresh basil!). If it works out, I'm thrilled. I take the bags with me to the store, along with my other canvas shopping bags. I live in Japan where they love to wrap things up in plastic so to reduce some of the plastic bags coming home with me is great!

Time for everyone to switchSep 23, 2008 Let's face it, the produce bags you use from the grocery store get tossed or recycled moments after you get home. These soft drawstring bags made it easy for me to switch over from the disposable option. The fit a good amount of veggies--I usually buy 2-3 crowns of broccoli which fit easily in one bag, bunch of carrots fits in one, several apples, bunch of bananas, etc. They are very light-weight and most places will let you weigh out your produce outside the bag anyways. I just print a sticker, stick it on the bag and I'm all set. They wash easily, dry on the line in a few hours. My only difficulty is remembering to bring them to the store!

Bigger than I thoughtSep 19, 2008 When these bags showed up they were a lot bigger than I had thought they would be. Makes no difference though, still great quality and works great for produce I will however be ordering some smaller ones for less food.
